How often should you wash your hair in Malaysia?

A useful wash schedule starts with your scalp, your hair and the day you are actually having.

Living in Malaysia does not mean everyone needs the same number of washes. A commute, an air-conditioned office and a workout are different days. The useful question is when your scalp actually needs a cleanse.

A practical way to decide is to notice, for a week, whether you washed, whether you exercised, and whether your roots felt oily or still comfortable. Keep the notes short.

Three routines you can adapt

On an active workweek, put the main wash after the workout if that is when you want a fresh scalp. On a quieter day, wash when the scalp needs it, not only because yesterday was a wash day. A mixed week can keep the same gentle method and change only the timing.

With Dr. M Hokkaido Kelp Hair & Scalp Shampoo, wet the hair and scalp, apply, massage gently for the 2–3 minute wash step, rinse thoroughly and dry with care. If you use the Hydrolyzed Protein Hair Tonic, that leave-in step stays separate. Follow the bottle. Do not add extra product to make up for a busy day.
